Vintage Wooden Printing Block – Narrow Star Flower Border

A repeating sequence runs the full length of this very slim block: a small raised star flower, then a large rounded medallion cut into the wood, then another star flower, and so on. Leaf shapes and small buds fill the gaps between them, giving the narrow strip a lively, botanical rhythm.

Fine vertical grain shows through the dark surface, and faint traces of pink pigment remain in the recesses, a reminder that the block once carried dye. At roughly three inches wide, it is a clear border block, meant to print a trim along the edge of a length of cloth.
