Vintage Hand-Carved Wooden Printing Block – Mixed Motif Sampler

Unlike a single repeating pattern, this block features a loose scatter of distinct small motifs across its face, a bird in flight, a latticed basket or window shape, feathery leaf sprigs, a spoked wheel-like rosette, and several small abstract curling forms. Each element sits independently rather than interlocking into one continuous design.

This mixed arrangement suggests the block may have served as a carver's trial or sampler piece, testing multiple motifs on a single surface. The worn grey surface and irregular, chipped edges confirm its genuine age and years of handling.
